AI Presidential Challenge
The AI Presidential Challenge Program equips high school students to compete in the Presidential AI Challenge. This challenge is a nationwide competition launched under President Donald J. Trump's Executive Order on Advancing Artificial Intelligence Education for American Youth.
The Presidential AI Challenge empowers high school students to learn, create, and apply artificial intelligence in real-world ways. It's designed to spark innovation, teamwork, and critical thinking while preparing students for future careers in technology. This guide serves as the official manual for district sponsors, outlining how to facilitate the challenge and help students have a successful, engaging experience.
Student Registration
Individual student registration requires parental consent. Parents/guardians must complete this form to authorize their student's participation in the Presidential AI Challenge.
Program Roles
Program Director – Keege Elliott
Oversees operations, communicates with district sponsors, ensures program milestones are met, and coordinates between technical and education teams.

Technical Directors
Provide technical mentorship, lead AI teaching sessions, guide project development, and ensure deliverable quality.
Assigned based on location
Supervising Adult
Serve as on-site facilitators, coordinate student engagement, manage schedules, and maintain communication with the program director.

- Ongoing sponsor and student support through scheduled zoom communications and resources.
Program Facilitation & Timeline
The challenge will span from October 2025 to June 2026, with three major phases: Learning, Building, and Competing.
November – December 2025
- Bi-weekly Zoom calls with students introducing AI fundamentals and project ideation.
- Weekly or bi-weekly calls with district sponsors for updates and resource guidance.
- Project Creation begins

- Jan 20th: Final project submission deadline

- March 16th: Announcement of state champions
- March 27th - April 13th: Regional championships
